Situated in the east central United States of America the state of Kentucky is included in the southern states. It is one of four states that have been given the term of commonwealth. Water transport in Kentucky is especially better developed since the state is bound by two major rivers and has thus played a key role in the growth of the state economy.

The educational aspect of Kentucky is well structured as there are several institutions that serve the state fittingly. Two major research institutions in the state include the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville.

The economy of Kentucky is fundamentally dependent on agricultural outputs like dairy products, soybeans, tobacco and cattle.
