There are many private as well as public schools within the boundaries of the state along with a series of notable universities which include Albany State University in Albany, Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, and Columbius State University in Columbus, Dalton State College, Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville and so on.

The state of Georgia is well connected by a number of Interstate highways and United State highways. Apart from these there are a number of railways and airport which serves the city.
